Monastery Blessing on the Passion of the Earth DVD:

Written and given by Sister Clarissa Goeckner, Prioress, Monastery of St. Gertrude, June 25, 2007:

God of the Universe, Creator of all that is, we rejoice in this DVD, Passion of the Earth. We are grateful for the message that it will bring to all those who view it. We are grateful that we have been given the honor to share it with our guests and all those who come to seek deeper meaning in their lives. May this DVD inspire us to embrace the message it holds for the needs of our time.

May we see this DVD as a sign of your Divine Affection and continuous care for us and as a way that we might invite the continuous care of the home you have given us-- our beautiful planet Earth. May we never take for granted the numerous good things you have allowed us to share.

As we rejoice in this finished project that has been officially placed into our hands this evening, we ask a special blessing upon Melanie who created, directed, and made it happen; we ask your blessing upon Sister Teresa also who was instrumental in its successful completion; may all those who appeared in the DVD be blessed as they gave voice to the important message that the DVD expresses. And, may all those who view it be inspired and may their hearts be open to its message, and, in turn, in gratitude to our Creator God.

Let us pause now in a prayer of silent gratitude. (Silence)

Lord our God, Source of all grace,
May your Divine Blessing rest upon this DVD
and upon each of us who, today, rejoice in it.
