See the Calendar page for Melanie's Art Circle/events schedule. My favorite way to share my art is in small circles of friends, passing the images from hand to hand and telling our stories together. There's something magic that happens when I open up the portfolio and we all begin to say what we see inside-- inside the art, and then inside ourselves. The Spirit moves. It can happen anywhere and anytime, but I like it best in living rooms, worship rooms, or gathering places with cozy chairs. I start with the stories about where the art comes from when I created it, but it's even better when we start to hear each others' stories of what the art stirs in our hearts. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we ask questions, sometimes we enjoy silence-- each art circle is different and rich, and we come away inspired. Would you like to host an art circle?
