Fill the Well A Small Group Experiment in Spiritual Reflection and Renewal Led by Artist & Spiritual Director, Melanie Weidner Winter/Spring term: February 7 - April 17, 2007 I'd like to continue an experiment and you're invited-- I'm looking for 8 to 12 people to join me for some spiritual alchemy. I've noticed that wonderful and enriching things happen when I create opportunties to share my art, favorite poems, latest reflections, honest questions, and expectant silences. The most engaging conversations and worship springs up... Sure enough, 10 of us gathered in the fall of '07, and we loved it! Our circle began to tell stories, to listen deeply to the wisdom in each other, in ourselves, and to God in us. We came away less dry and more hopeful. Would you like to join me for another round of this kind of spiritual creative exchange, in a 4-session small group opportunity? Contact me to register-- limited to 12 participants.

Please pre-register. Each section holds 8-12 participants. See times below. $216 fee* includes all 6 sessions and creative materials. I am unable to refund for missed sessions. Payment plan can be arranged. *Scholarships are available-- contact Melanie-- please don't let cost keep you from coming. Those who can pay extra for sessions are encouraged to contribute to the scholarship fund.
Winter/Spring Term: February 7, 21, March 6, 20, April 3, 17 Section 1: Thursdays - 4:30-6:30pm Section 2: Thursdays - 1:00-3:00pm
Location: West Hills Friends Community Building Come as you are, with an open heart and curious mind, ready to receive the gifts given in our circle. What will happen? Our gatherings will be fresh each time, but always focused on making room in our hearts and lives for the Presence of the Holy. Each unique session will rise out of my prayerful preparation and creative expression, your life stories and heart's longings, and the Spirit's leadings in the moment. I have lots of practice helping Mystery unfold between us, so I can guide in our waiting, expressing, reflecting and celebrating. I will bring a purposefully spacious flow of art, poetry, song, simple movement, silence, prayer practices, story telling, creative activities, and/or writing opportunities. (Supplies provided.) You will bring whatever is stirring in your heart. I suspect some of our themes will include spaciousness, longing, creativity, and letting go. Though many of us work to help others grow, we often feel alone in our inner journeys. Let's gather together to nurture and inspire one another, to deepen a sense of community, and to fill our wells with a life-giving abundance!
