Early Dusk

Text: "God, my spirit's overworked. Like a gardner I've been faithful to the turning of its soil-- swinging high the hoe and thumping down with question, task or prayer. But in my anger at the sloth of spring, I might, in fact, betray the seeds to hungry birds or frost. Slow my work, God of growth, and help me trust the wisdom of winter's early dusk."
