Childlike
watercolor, ink
11 x 15"
April 2000
Text: I miss being childlike. Children
love pets and people irrationally. They're always making forts and
nests. They love cartoon movies and chocolate and snow. They need
loads of love and care but don't care at all what anyone thinks
of them. They're all totally charming. They give their money away
to poor people and the offering, or they buy crazy fun things they
like. Their favorite colors are crucial and they are very, very
smart. They make up songs a lot, and tell nonsense jokes. They love
to watch things grow. They cry easily and laugh even more easily.
They take naps and go for walks. They make mud pies. They tell the
truth.
